It is extremely well made, easy to clean once you get the hang of using the exquisite brush that comes with the machine. The juice tastes wonderful - the CD that comes with the juicer explains why. - Has to do with lining up the molecules in the juice as it gets juiced. I had a Champion before this, and while Champion juicers are great - this juicer is on a whole other level. I have never tasted juice - especially Wheat Grass juice that tastes this good. Not at Jamba Juice, or anywhere else that makes juice. The taste will blow you away.It costs a bit - but it's totally worth it.The pitcher that catches the juice is a high quality glass pitcher - I've never seen a glass pitcher of this quality. There is a drip catcher that is also the best I've ever seen. Like it was cut from a pattern to fit right under the glass pitcher. AND, if you fill the pitcher up with juice, it is EXACTLY the amount that fits in a large Ball Jar, or other large canning jar. Makes it easy to store in the fridge if you want for later that day or the next day if you have made more than you can drink in one day - easy to do. Someone put a lot of thought into this juicer. It does a bunch of other stuff too besides just make juice. I have not tried everything it does yet. However I have made a /lot/ of juices with it, and they all taste great!I recommend the "Living With Green Star" Book as well for juice recipes and instructions on how to make pate's with it, frozen deserts, etc. If you can afford this juicer, get it. Green Star Elite - fantastic.I still love my Champion, I just don't use it now. I do feel a little guilty, but I'm dealing with it:) It told me the other day, it understands. It feels good just getting to sit on the counter next to the Green Star. I talk to squirrels, rabbits, and on occasion I have found myself breaking for paper bags as well. There you have it.

Works sometimes

I personally think it could do a better job. It spits the ingredients out and it goes everywhere. A normal size cup does not fit under the spout as it shows. I ended up trying several cups before I found one. In addition oranges, pears, limes, lemons get clogged and I have to stop and clean it out. Another disadvantage is after a couple of ingredients you have to stop and pour into another pitcher to start over again.I would look elsewhere for a juicer.

I've owned my Green Power KPE 1304 Juicer for over 18 months now. Our family juices 3-4 times a week and we like to think of ourselves as seasoned pro's.We juice wheatgrass on a regular basis and found that the machine works flawlessly making pretty much all juices. Our family is very health conscience and wanted a juicer that would make our favorite juices, be easy to clean and last a couple days before going bad, that is if we don't drink it all that same day.I researched many different juicers including the Green Star and the Green Power Gold and learned that these models where a much older design from the mid 90's which has not been updated and had a few drawbacks. The Green Power 1304 is the latest design and I am telling you this because I was initially completely confused as Tribest tried to tell me that the Green Star and Green Power Gold where the latest and best models available which was completely untrue.I contacted Kitchen's Best customer service and kept the kind lady on the phone with all of my silly questions for well over half an hour. I really appreciated the time that she spent with me. I really do not like to be "sold" over the phone and I clearly felt that she just wanted to help me find the right juicer. She e-mailed me the Green Power history chart which clearly showed the evolution of the Green Power/Green Star Juicers which was very helpful.Our family totally loves the juicer! The kids enjoy having fun creating different juices and clean up is fairly easy if you clean it right away.I highly recommend the juicer and the company's customer service is always fantastic. I have now purchased multiple times from this company and it has been a great experience. If you are looking to make soy, nut and rice milk I also recommend the NEW 2009 Soymilk Maker - SoyQuick Premier Milk Maker 930P My best purchase this year.

non-existant customer service! Beware!

I bought this juicer a year ago. Slowly one of the twin gears started to disintegrate. Called customer service to inquire about warranty or replacement, but when dialing the number they give you, they tell you to leave a message, then let you know the mailbox is full. No way to reach customer service, very disappointing!!
