Bad purchase
By gmode
This is one of the worst purchases I have made on Amazon. I based this purchase on all the good reviews despite the fact that it wouldn't be shipping Prime. Well it came the other day and the thing stinks! I mean it really stinks! The black part on the handles omits a horrible toxic smell which has not gone away after washing. I tried one lemon with it, and while it smashed it it certainly didn't get all the juice out. Plus, the juice just sprays in many directions. The smell is the worst part and I can't even touch it without my hands stinking.

Nice lemon press
By Jm1984
I'm addicted to lemons! Put the lemon in face down and it will squeeze the juice right out the bottom holes without exploding on your face and out the sides.

Two reasons not to buy
By Mr.MoJoRisen
1. The smell. I know what you must be thinking, this shiny piece of metal smells? Yes, the smell associated with this citrus press can best be described as nasty industrial waste dump of chemicals. I've never received something in the mail that smelled so bad. Look to reason #2 for why it smelled.2. That chrome look, it comes off with one wash. I spent more than $10 on this, so I wasn't ready to just throw it away. Mr. Frugal's next action, after holding his nose and removing it from its packaging, "To the dishwasher with you horrible smell citrus press!" A good washing will purge the smell, or so I thought. After the washing, all that chrome look came right off. It didn't smell as bad, but, the nasty smell didn't completely go away. Where did the chrome paint go? Who knows, but by this time I had enough, as the flat metal under the chrome left a dark residue on my hands. The next action was to remove this citrus press from my life; back from the dump in which you came smelly lemon squeezer! Then another re-wash everything in the dishwasher and a soap scrub of my hands, just to make sure the purge was complete. In sum, you were probably drawn to this lemon squeezer thinking, "Oh, nice, shiny lemon squeezer that's cheaper than the other ones." For me, this was a bad road to go down. I wish I had my $10 back, the smell experience expunged from my memory, and the time back spent trying to salvage this dismal product. As my daily good deed for humanity, I am here to tell you, don't buy it.
