In addition, we have gone to great lengths to ensure safety by designing the blender so that the container must be locked to be in place for operation to function. An additional over current and high temperature reset switch further protects you and the blender.

CMBL800 Blender

This blender is great. It purees ice in just a few seconds. With all its power, it is not excessively noisy. Very nice safety interlocks prevent operation without securing the pitcher or the lid. Best item I have seen for the price. Glad I bought it...so far. But, I do not see any way to get replacement parts, like a pitcher, in the unlikely event that it breaks.
