5Great affordable juicer
By Mike Wallace
I am an avid juicer and I have been using a Breville Juice Fountain Elite for the past 3 years. This juicer actually has many of the features of the Juice Fountain Elite and works just about as well. The T-fal Balanced Living juice extractor is easy to assemble and take apart. The plastic parts are dishwasher safe and the stainless steel filter comes with a cleaning brush. If you do put the plastic parts in the dishwasher I would suggest turning off the heat dry, just in case; and hand washing the filter basket with the cleaning brush. The feed tube is extra wide and can fit whole pears and apples, although I would suggest coring the apples because the seeds can contain trace elements of cyanide.I made apple ginger juice this morning and it turned out perfect. I use the lower speed for most items because slower juicing seems to yield a bit more juice, so I usually let the items feed through the tube instead of forcing them with the pusher. Because my Breville is about 3 years old and has had heavy use, the nice new sharp filter basket of the T-fal juicer actually was faster. With most juicers getting the juice basket out of the juicer for cleaning can be a bit of an effort. I noticed that the cleaning brush has a flat handle that looks like it is designed to pop out the juice filter basket, after use. The only problem was that the juice filter basket was lodged in pretty good, and I didn't want to bend the handle. I used a screwdriver and easily popped the filter basket out of the juicer.I also put this juicer through the paces with a spicy green vegetable juice; with kale, cilantro, carrot, celery, cucumber, parsnip, apple, lemon, lime, ginger, garlic, and onion. It handled everything fine even the hard kale stems. The juice wasn't pulpy and the yield was over 32 ounces. I did try pulling the spout upwards to remove the filter basket, but popping it up with a large screwdriver seemed to be what worked best for me.This juicer is noisy, but not any louder than any other centrifugal juicer. The juice pitcher is a bit of an ingenious design, with the defrother built into the pitcher, and the lid permanently attached. You can tell that the folks who designed this juicer tried to take the features of the best juicers available, and even tried to improve them a bit.Juicing is a great way to get vitamins and enzymes straight to your system and save your body the effort of digestion. This is an affordable juicer with great features and a great juicer for people who are new to juicing or for juicing regulars who need a replacement juicer. I was impressed with the design and the price.

5Easy setup, quick to clean, sturdier parts than other juicer I have used, large capacity
By D. Brennan
Pros:-Large capacity. Enough for a family or a full day's juicing needs.-Powerful motor makes short work of beets, stems, etc-VERY sturdy mesh disc - much stronger and stiffer than what I have seen in other models-Quick clean-up. No special tools required and design makes emptying shredded vegetable matter clean and quickCons:-Pitcher seems to drip more than our other juicer-Instructions suck - I spent 5 minutes trying to figure out how to remove the wire disc. It was annoying at the time, though I am past it now.We have been using a Breville BJE200XL Compact Juice Fountain 700-Watt Juice Extractor. It's great but I found it too small sometimes for the amount of juice we want to make for long bike rides or when we have company. It also struggles sometimes with beets and other tough vegetables. Its design also make it a little messy to clean up.We have been using the T-fal ZE813US for 3 days now and I am mostly happy with it and will be giving our Breville away. My one moment of annoyance occurred when washing it the first time. I was unable to pull the wire spinner disc off. I was looking for a lever, special tools, etc but could find nothing. It turns out that you have to lift the adjustable spout a little to lift the green plastic collector off, which then allows you to remove the disc. You will find NOTHING about this in the instructions. Dumb.Once I figured that out my experience with this juicer has been great. It makes short work of even the toughest vegetables I have tried. Strangely this 500-watt juicer makes its way through vegetables even better than the 750-watt Breville. Perhaps it is the VERY sturdy metal juicer disc. It is very stiff and thicker than what came with the Breville. In fact, the Breville, though more expensive, seems to me made with lower quality components. The large pitcher and fiber collection bin makes it possible to juice large quantities. Cleanup is quick and easy. I was especially happy to see how easy it was to clean the metal disc. In a side-by-side test, it produced the same amount of juice as our Breville, with no difference in taste.I would highly recommend this product. It's powerful, less expensive than many competitors, and built sturdily.

4Great Juicer for the Price
By Amanda Devon
Before I get to the specifics of this T-fal juicer I want to state that although I have owned 3 juicers total and had the opportunity to check out a 4th brand in the past, I am not a juicer fan in general. I will expound on why later on in this review.Removing the parts to the ZE813US to wash in preparation for its first use was easy enough. The manual was not all that instructive in how to do that but with a bit of fiddling with it I figured it out easy enough. The only somewhat frustrating part to remove was the sieve/filter (part letter D) because you have to push down on the pouring spout to release the sieve catch. I had to figure that out myself. The parts seem really sturdy with the exception of part letter G, the pulp collector. The manual states that all parts except for the main motor housing and the actual juice collector/pitcher can be placed in the dishwasher however, the pulp collector (part G) does not look or feel like it would handle the bottom rack of a dishwasher's heat without warping somewhat. That would make it not fit well giving the potential of pulp flying out.The instructions state to plug in appliance, turn to on position to start motor BEFORE inserting fruits and vegetables. For my review, I decided to juice separately a variety of fruits and vegetables. I started with the easiest thing in my mind, a bunch of tomatoes. The manual has a little chart which indicates the speed (there are only two speeds on this juicer) recommended for certain vegetables and fruits. You can then figure out from that chart which speed for the produce textures not included on this chart. Of course with most juicers it is recommended that hard skin produce (citrus, etc) be peeled first.Upon starting the motor I put medium sized tomatoes through the 3.25 inch chute opening. They fit fine and went through the sieve with little effort of the pusher. They sped through the sieve and the juice came out of the pouring chute in record speed. I mean seriously, it was like one second for each tomato to get fully processed! The remaining tomato pulp in the pulp container was nice and consistent in size and texture. The juicer comes with a 45 oz juice catching pitcher with an attached lid. This pitcher actually fits onto the out spout so the juice is going NOWHERE except into the pitcher. The 45 ozs is a nice size compared to more expensive juicers I have had.I then took the juicer apart. I easily collected all the tomato pulp to save for a sauce or other recipes by scraping with a small rubber spatula. There aren't any tight areas in this particular juicer so getting all the pulp was easier than past models I have owned. I quickly washed all the parts by hand. The juicer comes with a brush to clean the sieve. This brush is like an oversized toothbrush and at first it seemed like the bristles would be too soft to clean the tight weave of the sieve but it did a nice job using a circular cleaning motion. The sieve leave-ins then washed out fine under running water. Much easier than the sieves in the previous juicers I have had in the past.Next I tossed about a cup of red grapes in. Of course I de-stemmed them first. It was funny how the sieve stripped the grapes of their red clothing (LOL, skins) before pulverizing the grape bodies. I then put about a 1/2 cup of strawberries (just washed, no hulling or de-leafing first) in right after the grapes. Again everything went in smoothly and came out quickly. The pulp from the grapes and strawberries again was nice and consistent and easy to collect to save for recipes. The amount of yielded juice I got from the above mentioned measurement of grapes and strawberries was about 3/4 cup.I quickly and easily washed the juicer parts again and put it to the test of all tests of a juicer (in my opinion). I got out the celery and carrots! I cut 1 stalk of celery in 2 inch pieces and kept another stalk whole. I cut 1 carrot in 3 inch pieces and left one whole. I honestly expected either the carrot or the celery to slow this machine down and make it choke. It did not. My previous Breville AND my Jack LaLanne both bogged and bounced around with celery!Overall, I am impressed with this T-fal juicer. It is not overly loud like other more expensive juicers i have owned. It is easy to clean and is not too large to keep on the countertop. As I said at the top of this review I am not a hardcore juicer because of the fact that the amount of fresh juice and/or vegetables you need to use to produce a fair amount of juice just doesn't seem worth the cost of the produce to me. But for those of you who are convinced that the benefits of juicing outweighs the overall cost then I highly recommend this model, especially if you are just starting out with juicing.Be aware that this juicer does NOT come with any juice recipes (which surprised me) but you can find plenty of recipes for free on the internet.

Product Description

Omega BMJ330 Commercial 350-Watt Stainless-Steel Pulp-Ejection Juicer

Enjoy healthy, great-tasting juice quickly and easily with this electric fruit-and-vegetable juicer. The Omega BMJ330 is a 350-watt juicer with an efficient 1/2-horsepower induction motor for 12,000 RPMs of speed. This continuous, pulp-ejection style juicer features an extra large feed chute. The chute accommodates larger portions, even whole fruits. This means less cutting and preparation time for you. The powerful commercial grade motor rips through the task of juicing in half the time as most juicers and clean-up couldn't be easier. Freshly squeezed juice dispenses from the spout directly into a glass or storage container and pulp is automatically ejected into the bin in the back of the juicer for easy disposal or composting--or, better yet, for adding flavor to sauces, soups, salsa, cakes, and more. Simply dump the pulp when container is full and continue use. The BMJ330 is designed for commercial use with a stainless steel blade and basket, making this unit rugged and durable.

  • Mega Mouth Pulp Ejection style juicing system.
  • Extra-large feed chute accommodates larger portions and even whole fruits. This means less cutting and preparation time for you.
  • Powerful 1/2 Horsepower motor is strong enough for the larger portions.
  • The powerful commercial grade motor rips through the task of juicing in half the time as most juicers, extracting the most amount of juice in minimal time.
  • Clean-up couldn't be easier. Pulp automatically ejects into the bin in the back of the juicer. Simply dump the pulp when container is full and continue use.
  • Economical. Since the juicer is so efficient and productive, you'll get the greatest amount of juice from the least amount of produce.

5love my juicer!!!
By Francisco G.
after literally spending days (total hours spent) researching through all the types of juicers and reading all kinds of reviews and watching videos, i finally decided to go with the omega big mouth. the 10 year warranty is nearly unsurpassed and with this investment i would feel unsafe with 1 year or less warranties. i was a little weary with the negative reviews but went ahead and got it. I am new to juicing but from what i can tell it does a great job. i love my juicer the pulp is very dry (some moisture) but got most of the juice. I don't have the problem with juice flying all over and its very easy to clean and assemble. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into juicing!!!

5Great warranty, Customer Service, Operation
By Wind Sock @ 2PONDS
After reading the comments about this juicer, I am moved to write about this product's performance, as well as, Omega. Let me preface, I have owned and used the 1000 Series (no side shoot)since 1981 - it still works perfectly when used correctly. (i.e. mixing leafy with hard causes the pulp to lay inside in such a way that juicer gets off balance). I am considering purchasing this one as I tire of cleaning out the bowl of the 1000 and want to be able to juice more without having to stop as often. Now for this Omega. My sister owns two of these, as well as masticating, and blenders as she runs a mobile juice bar. She recently purchased one of these for Earth Day here in Dallas. It arrived 10 days before the event. She plugged it in and started to juice. It began to burn up. She contacted Omega who sent her a replacement within 2 days as well as a little nice surprise that I won't get into. She was up and running for Earth Day with two of these juicers, lemon press, and blenders. My husband and I operated the Omega 330s. One was used for "green drinks" (kale, spinach, parsley, w/a piece of fruit thrown in if requested) the other for the "specialty drinks" with mostly apple, pear, beets, carrots, ginger, cucumbers. We made about 250-300 drinks in two days with these two juicers. The cleanup was easy enough - dump the bucket and rinse the bowls, and cutting disc. We had a great time and everyone loved their juice. Now it was important to keep everything looking orderly in the 10 x 8 booth with 6 large coolers, boxes of organic fruit and veges, as well as 2 3 x 7 tables. Get the picture? There was no "juice spurting out" or any other spurting of the juicers. In other words, we were busy all the time and I was on the lookout for spills, etc. to clean up lest the Health Department decide we weren't doing it the right and clean way. So I suggest for those who are having trouble with "juice spurting out" that you keep the pusher in until the item is completely juiced; as that is the way it is suppose to be operated. And I might add, my sister reports having "stuff spurting out" when she didn't empty the catch bucket as required during her "learning curve". We never had that problem at Earth Day as we operated within the design limits. Enough said - this is a great juicer -

4Read this if you have had problems with this machine
By Deirdre
Caveat: we have had this juicer only about a week, but we have used it multiple times a day since then. As many others have said, a lot of research is needed before investing in a juicer, and deciding which type (auger vs. centrifugal) is best for you is a big part of it. This centrifugal machine is very versatile - it seems to be able to juice almost anything. If you are hearing rattling or grinding; detecting a burned smell; or getting juice all over your counter via leaks in the machine: YOU DON'T HAVE IT PUT TOGETHER CORRECTLY. We have experienced each of these issues once over the past week. We always stop the machine right away, make sure there are no bits of pulp caught somewhere, carefully put the parts back and close the clips simultaneously, and the problem goes away. This juicer is quite finicky and takes some practice to make sure the parts are fitting together exactly right. We have even found that it makes a difference if you close the safety clips on the side at the same time versus closing first one and then the other.Arguably, a $200+ should be more foolproof. And certainly, if you feel that way then perhaps another machine would be right for you. I gave four stars instead of five because of this idiosyncrasy. But I must emphasize how much we LOVE this juicer. We can juice any greens (just put them in first), citrus with the peel, ginger, beets, carrots, celery, apples, pears, you name it. I like some pulp in my juice, and this machine gives that (more nutrition & fibre, so what's not to like?). My kids are even drinking fruit-veggie blends and enjoying them.I also was impressed with the ten-year warranty. Breville only guarantees their similar machine for one year, which didn't inspire my confidence.Whatever you decide to buy, go ahead and get juicing! I have cut my coffee consumption by 3/4 because the fresh juice first thing in the morning gives me so much energy, I don't need the caffeine.Wishing you all good health and enjoyable longevity!

5Best orange juicer I have ever used
By Terry
After using this juicer at a friend's house, I came right home and ordered one for myself. It makes serving fresh-squeezed OJ a breeze! This citrus juicer is housed in a sturdy, stainless steel body with a neat, recessed area underneath for storing the power cord when not in use. The parts that touch the orange and the juice are made of thick black plastic and easily come out for cleaning. There are two juicing cones for use with grapefruits down to lemons or limes. (NOTE: the smaller cone is stored inside the larger cone when you unpack the juicer.) There is also a clear plastic cover that keeps dust, etc. away when you are not using your juicer. I really appreciate this extra touch because I store my appliances on open shelving.Operation is simple: place a glass underneath the spout on the side of the juicer, select the appropriate size cone for your fruit, cut your fruit in half and push the cut end down firmly on the cone. This engages the motor and it begins juicing your fruit. Let up on the pressure and it stops. Press down again and the cone turns in the opposite direction. This is key because it allows you to get every bit of juice from the fruit. The pulp and seeds are trapped in the strainer and the juice flows through into the juice container and out the spout into your juice glass. That's it! Fresh juice almost instantly! The spout flips up when you are done to avoid drips on your counter and when you are finished, all of the pieces lift out for easy rinsing. The removable parts are top-rack, dishwasher safe but it is soooo easy to rinse by hand, I haven't done it yet.A tip: microwave your fruit for 10 seconds before juicing and it will release more juice. You can also roll the fruit firmly on the counter before slicing and get similar results. On average it takes about 2 oranges for a glass of orange juice, although some oranges are "juicier" than others.Just to be clear - this is a citrus juicer. It is not the kind of juicer that lets you juice whole vegetables and fruit. It simply extracts the juice from citrus fruits and then you throw away the empty peels.I am not a gourmand, but I can definitely tell the difference between fresh squeezed juice and the regular stuff you buy at the grocery store. Also, the fresh squeezed seems less acidic. If you live in an area where citrus fruit is plentiful and relatively inexpensive, you might enjoy this juicer as much as I do.

3One Big Shortcoming
By Nathan K. Moses
I bought this to replace another cheap citrus juicer I had been using for years before it broke. The Juiceman looks great! If looks were the main reason I was buying it I would be as happy as a clam. The problem is with the juicing cone - specifically the large cone for juicing oranges. The ridges are not angled enough and barely bite into the fruit. I had to work three times harder to get the same as much juice from my fruit as with my old cheap Proctor-Silex and the only reason is the angle of the ridges on the juicing cone. The smaller cone for the lemons works great because the ridges are much more steeply angled. I am surprised a company called Juiceman has not put more thought in the engineering of this vital part of the machine. Too bad...because it is otherwise a piece of appliance artistry. I am ordering a cheap Black & Decker to replace it. It is not much to look at but from the pictures I can clearly see the cone is better designed. In fact, the Black & Decker looks like an exact replica of my old machine I threw away.

5Best Citrus Juicer for the Money!
By Genesio Zomparelli
I own the Breville Juice Fountain Elite and the Breville toaster and the One Cup Coffee maker. Although this is not a review of Breville products I must say Breville makes an excellent product. I wanted a simple machine to make orange juice and grapefruit juice in the morning and the Juice Fountain Elite was overkill for a simple glass of OJ. Of course I considered the Breville 800CPXL but at $189 I thought it was too much for just making orange juice. So I decided to try the Juiceman because it looked nice and at $24.99 it was worth taking the risk, especially when purchasing from Amazon.I ordered the Juiceman on December 16th and got it in time for breakfast on Dec 17th! When I opened the box the Juiceman was very light weight. It did not have the solid feel of the heavy Breville model. But it looked as nice as my Breville Juice Fountain. I cut two oranges and one grapefruit in half and started juicing. The Juiceman did a great job. It yielded a full 8 ounces of orange-grapefruit juice in less than 30 seconds. The reversing action literally scoured the oranges clean. There was still some pulp left in the grapefruit. I thought the 40 watt motor would choke if I applied too much pressure when pressing the fruit on the cone, but the motor did not hesitate. I was very impressed. And cleanup was a breeze! The lightweight plastic parts cleaned up fast in the sink but are also dishwasher safe. The Juiceman comes with a 2 year warranty, which is better than Breville! For $24.99 the Juiceman is well worth it. It does the job well and the light weight plastic parts are easy to clean. It makes it easy to fix a glass of orange-grapefruit juice every morning before I head to work. I highly recommend this product!

3This is a Factory Knock-Off of an Omega Vert350 Juicer
By Dussel
Okay I am SO SICK of all these HACK "Amazon VINE" reviews that I am going to spend 20 minutes to tell you the truth. Most of these people are so full of BS, and from their reviews know nothing about juicers. Most Vine reviews makes me lose respect for not only them, but Amazon, they need to change the system to remove the blatant bias and obviousness of reviews (Give me a $400 juicer for free and I will give it 5 stars too - or NOT - truth in honesty prevails). Funny how they all happened to purchase a Breville compact, and now Amazon gives them one of these to try and an epiphany occurs as they're amazed at how this one is so much better. Or maybe, just maybe, they also were given on of those to review as well, noooooo... How would you rate a Free $400 juicer to a non-comparable $99 one.-To the Juicers-First off they are completely different (Compact Centrifugal vs. Vertical Auger). Second off, wonder why it doesn't have the signature Breville loop hole plug, and why every part besides the motor base and juice containers are IDENTICAL to an Omega VERT 350 juicer Omega VRT350 Heavy Duty Dual-Stage Vertical Single Auger Low Speed Juicer, well because that is the only difference, as they are made in the same Chinese factory. Omega Engineer's designed this machine.-How Does it Work-Both have the same pitfalls (Breville and Omega Vertical Masticating), which is you have to chop up vegetables, especially greens like parsley, mint, kale, as well as celery etc. in 1/2" segments as the string fibers will just wrap around base of the auger. So, instead of further compressing your juice, or properly processing other foods you put in after, it will just force the juice and its pulp out the top of the conical screed. The top has much bigger wholes mind you than the ones at the bottom, thereby the auger is not pressing the juice to its maximum potential, and leaving you with an extremely pulpy product. If you are used to a centrifugal get ready for some serious pulp action in your juice. Now the only way to partially solve this is to chop up all the things I listed above, as well as Apples and other large produce as they just plain don't fit whole like they do on a centrifugal, remember thick carrots as they will jam the machine. Once you do all that, and feed the things you are juicing in a methodical order, like some leafy greens, then some hard material like apple, followed by spinach, then some carrot.... etc..... repeating this over and over until all your ingredients are juiced. Then well you will end up with an okay juice with a pretty high yield. However, if you want yield numbers of a centrifugal, especially from harder food items like apples, pineapple, carrots, etc. then you need to break down the machine after running your ingredients through, scrub the filter screed to clear any debris blocking the holes, along with the auger and outer housing, then re-assemble the whole thing and run the pulp back through the machine. Then if you want a smoother juice, more similar but still pulpier, than what you'll get from a centrifugal, you need to either strain through a fine mesh, losing some mass, or once again break down the machine, clean, and re-assemble then run the juice back through it again.-Test-I did a comparison between an Omega VERT 350 (the Breville is a factory Copy of this machine) and a Breville 510XL Variable speed centrifugal (supposedly optimal for lighter/leafy material so that you can slow the RPM's to maximize yield. Anyhow, I weighed equal amounts of Apple, carrot, kale, parsley, cucumber, and celery totaling 1545grams (3.4lbs) for each machine and ran them through using optimal methods. For the Vert I chopped everything up to prevent clogging or fiber wrap, along with alternating ingredients to maximize the compression from the auger; for the Breville centrifugal I used the proper speed settings (between 1-5) for the veg/fruit being juiced, pressed at a very slow even speed down the chute, and for the leafy stuff kept the chute packed so the internal wind created by the spinning screen would not just eject the material to the pulp bin before being shredded by the blades and juiced.-Results-1st Run through the machines starting with 1545grams or 3.4 lbs of fruit/vegetables:--Breville Centifugal - 1205grams 78.0% efficiency--Vertical Auger - 1125grams 72.8% eff.2nd run of the pulp through each machine:--Breville Centifugal - 105grams additional 6.8% extraction--Vertical Auger - 170grams additional 11.0% extractionTotal after 2 runs through the machines:--Breville Centifugal - 1305grams 84.5% Total Efficiency--Vertical Auger - 1295grams 83.8% Total EfficiencySo there you have it. This slow speed auger juicer is 6.4% less efficient than the old style centrifugal model on first pass, and pulls close but still not bettering it, even after spending a 5 minutes to tear down, clean, re-assemble, and juice your pulp.-Other Considerations-Now on to other things that may or may-not matter to you. The foot-print is significantly smaller on the auger style machine than the large centrifugal's, along with all the plastic parts that comprise the machine. Speed, well with a huge chute and high efficiency, the larger centrifugal machine gobbles up whole apples, oranges (peeled), tomatoes, cucumbers, you get the picture, this equates to minimal prep required along with much faster juicing times. Noise, well this should be rather obvious when you're comparing an 80rpm device compared to a 13,500rpm device, the auger style sounds like a slow crusher/cruncher and the centrifugal sounds like a turbine engine ready for take-off. Now the big thing for me, PARTS, while Breville and Omega give you a "supposed" extremely generous 10year warranty on the machine, this however does not apply to all parts considered "wear parts" (i.e. the conical mesh strainers, auger, silicone wipers, wiper cage, etc). A little trip over to Omega's site and you will find the fine mesh conical screed is a whopping $70 to replace (and tends to break after within 1-2yrs if you juice regularly), the Auger is ~$30, this part $20, that part $5 etc.. Basically all that is covered is the motor and base, which being heavy duty and low RPM is not bound to fail within that period; however all the other plastic stuff, not so much. Granted I am talking Omega's warranty policies vs. Breville, but I just don't see it being any different as Breville does not normally offer a 10yr warranty on anything, at least none that I've seen, including the other appliances I own from them.-SUMMARY--Vine Reviewers are modern shills-The Breville is a factory copy of an Omega VERT 350 which can be bought cheaper. (Use one of those 20% off BadBathandBeyond coupons they are always sending)-It's quiet.-LESS Efficient than a good centrifugal unless you want to clean and re-run pulp. (which then pulls it near even)-Takes less counter space and is easier to store.-Has much more pulp than a centrifugal.-No Less foam than a centrifugal.-Has very high replacement parts cost as integral parts are considered wear parts. (not covered under warranty)-Is more expensive than a comparable centrifugal.-Deceptive Warranty

5Works great even with hard foods.
By G. Uhl
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3J43B3ZIZAFF3 I am not an expert on juicing. At all. I am a novice juicer. The only thing I can say to an expert juicer who is reading this review is that this machine is really well built. It juiced everything I put through it. The reverse feature works really well. (see the video)I own both the Breville Compact 200XL ($100) and this Breville Juice Fountain 600XL ($400)This masticating juicer works great and if you can afford it, then it's the best option. However if money is a factor then I would whole heartedly recommend the $100 model that works just as good in all the ways that really matter for a novice. (see the video)It takes me the exact same amount of time to clean up both models. I timed it mutliple times. The 600XL is much much quieter. The 600XL is not being called compact but by juicer standards it does have a pretty small footprint on the counter.I think the 600XL juice tastes better but just by a slight margin over the 200XL.

3Still prefer my $99 Breville BJE200XL better
By XNOR
I bought my Brevelle BJE200XL in 2009 - it is a centrifugal juicer and using it fairly regularly and works pretty so far. Before I get into a detailed review - it is important to understand the different between centrifugal and masticating juicer.A Centrifugal juicer rotates at a very high speed - 13000 rpm to micro cut/scrape the object and centrifugal force forces it to collect into a seperate section. While the masticating juicer crushes the object and filters them and these operate at lower speeds. Here is my feedback on why I like my 4 year old Breville BJE200XL Juicer more than this masticating juicer ?(1) More versatile - It can juice a much more wider variety of stuff.(2) Higher yield - Most of the tests say that masticating juicers have a higher yield, but my 4 year old 200XL got me more juice than the 600XL(3) Easier and simpler - I can juice an whole apple or an orange in a centrifugal juicer, while for the masticating juicer, I have to chop them into multiple pieces so that it can fit into the feeder. There are many theories about cell walls being broken down and heat in the centrifugal juicer - but most of these are unscientific and centrifugal juicers are good enough and infact better than the masticating juicers
